The 2026 International Conference on Engineering Tribology and Applied Technology (ICETAT 2026) will be held on November 06–08, 2026, at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, National Cheng Kung University, Tainan City, Taiwan.
With rapid industrial development toward high-speed operation, high precision, and sustainable utilization, research challenges related to frictional surfaces—such as motion, wear, lubrication, and surface interactions between contacting components—are becoming increasingly complex. These challenges demand advanced research, innovative design, and interdisciplinary collaboration in the field of engineering tribology.
The aim of ICETAT 2026 is to gather scholars and experts from around the world to present recent advances in tribology and applied engineering technologies, and to foster an environment conducive to the exchange of ideas, knowledge, and practical experience. The conference provides a platform for researchers, practitioners, and academics to present and discuss ideas, challenges, and potential solutions related to both established and emerging topics in engineering tribology.
ICETAT 2026 emphasizes research and applications in high-speed and high-precision systems, energy conservation, sustainable use, advanced design, industrial tribology, and real-world engineering applications, strengthening collaboration between academia and industry.
The conference covers, but is not limited to, the following topics:
Basic Friction and Wear
Lubricants and Lubrication
Contact Mechanics and Adhesion
